UCD Marian beat the Eagles 90–77 at the UCD Sports Centre on Saturday night. The Eagles won the third quarter 32–23 and led 66–65 late in it, but UCD won the fourth 23–11. Ryan Leonard led the Eagles with 17 points, nine assists and six rebounds. The Eagles have now won four of their six games.

It was close from the start. The Eagles led 20–17 after the first quarter and were still in front at 28–27 midway through the second. UCD then scored 12 points in a row to go 39–28 up, and they led 44–34 at half-time.
The third quarter was the Eagles' best of the night. They were 51–41 down, then got back level at 60–60 and 63–63, and a three put them in front at 66–65 in the last minute and a half. UCD had the last score of the quarter and led 67–66 going into the fourth.
UCD opened up a 75–68 lead early in the fourth. The Eagles were still within six at 79–73 with two minutes left, but UCD scored the next seven points and that settled it.
Isaiah Taylor played almost the whole game for UCD and had 25 points, nine rebounds and nine assists. Tanner Graham scored 22 with seven rebounds, and Laurynas Andrijauskas scored 21 on nine of 11 shooting. UCD had 31 assists to the Eagles' 22 and won the rebounds 40–31.
The Eagles made more threes, 11 to UCD's eight, and turned the ball over ten times to UCD's 15. They shot 39 per cent from the field, 28 of 71, to UCD's 50 per cent, 34 of 68.
Leonard added two steals and a block to his 17, nine and six. Aaron Rhooms scored 13 with three threes, Aleksandar Kovacevic had 12 points and seven rebounds, and Toby Christensen had 10 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals.
