Limerick Eagles Basketball respects your privacy. This policy explains, in general terms, how we handle any personal information collected through this website.
Information we collect
If you contact us by email or sign up to our newsletter, we may hold the details you choose to give us, such as your name and email address. We do not collect more than we need.
How we use it
We would use your information only to respond to you and to send club updates you have asked for. We would not sell your personal information to anyone.
Game day programme
Our game day programme at limerickeagles.com/gameday runs a fans' vote and a half-time draw. To give each phone one vote, the page stores a random code in a cookie on your phone. It does not identify you. If you enter the draw, we hold your name and email to contact you if you win. We read the winner's name out at half-time and show their first name and initial on the page. If you tick "keep me posted", or join the mailing list or the volunteer crew, we keep your details to send the club updates you asked for. Draw entries from people who did not tick the box are deleted after 30 days. On some games the fans' vote is itself a free draw for tickets. To enter that draw you give your name and email and sign up for our club emails. We then use your email to tell you if you win and to send club news, game previews and ticket links, through Brevo, until you unsubscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link. We also count how many phones open the programme and which sponsor links are tapped, so we can report totals to our sponsors. Those totals never include names.
Play of the Month
Our Play of the Month vote at limerickeagles.com/play-of-the-month lets you pick your favourite play and enter a free draw for two tickets. To give each phone one vote, the page stores a random code in a cookie on your phone. It does not identify you. The vote and draw forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots; it may set a cookie of its own and sends your browser details to Cloudflare for that check only. If you enter the draw, we hold your name and email to run the draw and contact the winner, and delete them 30 days after the draw. We show the winner's first name and initial on the page. If you tick the mailing-list box, we keep your name and email to send the club news you asked for, through Brevo, until you unsubscribe. Joining the mailing list is optional and does not affect your entry. We also count how many phones open the page and where they came from, so we can report totals to the partner presenting the vote. Those totals never include names.
Counting visits
To learn which pages, posts and links work, we count visits to this website, the game day programme and the ticket pages with our own counter. It notes the page, the site or link that sent you, the rough area of your internet connection (town and country), the type of device and browser, how long the page was open and which links were tapped. When a visit ends in a ticket order, it notes the game and the amount, not who bought. It does not use cookies or store anything on your phone, and it never stores your IP address. Each device gets a code made from its connection and browser plus a key that changes every day and is then deleted, so we cannot follow anyone from one day to the next. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, you are not counted. We keep these records for 25 months and only ever report totals.
