Nathan Moore came up through the Limerick Lions, the junior pathway that feeds the Eagles. In 2018 he hit a three-pointer with 2.3 seconds left to beat Monaco 93-91 in the bronze-medal game at the FIBA Under-18 European Championship Division C in Kosovo. The win sealed a medal for Ireland's Under-18s.
The Lions still celebrate it as the only European Championship medal won by one of their own. Moore went on to play 3x3 for Ireland at senior level.
He took his game to the United States too, through Bridgton Academy and then Hilbert College in New York, where in 2024-25 he shot 45.5% from three and led the Allegheny Mountain Conference in three-point percentage.
