Who Juice was
Stuart Robbins wore number 15 for the Eagles. To everyone in the club he was Juice: a teammate, a friend and a big personality who left his mark on Limerick basketball and on the wider Irish game. The tournament was set up in his memory and has become one of the most meaningful days on the club's calendar. Fifteen years on, it is still the weekend when his friends, former teammates and the wider basketball community come together to remember him.
Why we run it
Two reasons. The first is Juice himself. The day is a chance to share stories, to fill a gym with the same energy he brought to it, and to make sure the people now coming through the club know his name.
The second is basketball. The tournament falls two weeks before the Super League season opens, so it doubles as the club's final pre-season test against strong opposition. The Eagles won the 11th edition in 2023 and Maree took the 12th in 2024. The Juice All-Stars game is the fixture the day is built around, and this year the All-Stars take on Tipp Talons.
Men's tournament, Court 2
Four teams, two semi-finals, a third-place game and a final. The Eagles meet St Vincent's in the first semi-final at 11:00, which is also a first look at the side the Eagles open the Super League season against in Dublin on 3 October. Éanna and Killester play the second semi-final at 12:30. The third-place game tips at 14:30 and the final at 16:00, with the presentation straight after.

On the day
Doors open at 10:00. Games run all day on both courts, so there is always something to watch, and the men's final and presentation close the day on Court 2. Everyone is welcome. Bring the family, stay for the final, and cheer every team on.
After the tournament, attention turns to the Super League. The full 2026-27 fixture list is here, and player announcements continue on @limerickeagles.
