How the Eagles have started
The Eagles have won both of their games. They opened with a 117–78 win away to St Vincent's in Glasnevin, then beat the reigning champions Ballincollig 96–67 at St Munchin's College last Saturday. Alex Carlisle scored 31 points against Ballincollig with six threes, and Toby Christensen had nine assists without a single turnover. Read the Ballincollig report, with the box score and a photo gallery.
How Éanna have started
Éanna have one win from two. They lost 100–83 away to UCC Demons at the Mardyke Arena on the opening weekend, then beat Garvey's Tralee Warriors 73–70 at home last Saturday.
Their new point guard, Morgan Taylor, has been their top scorer in both games, with 21 points and ten rebounds in Cork and 18 points against Tralee. Cathal O'Sullivan has added 17 and 16. Nick Hopkins, an NAIA First Team All-American in his final college season, scored 11 against Tralee.
Thank you, and bring a crowd
Thank you to every supporter who packed into St Munchin's for the win over Ballincollig. The support was fantastic from start to finish, and the players felt it. Saturday is the first home game of the season at the UL Sport Arena, so let's fill it. Bring the family, bring a friend and make some noise.
Doors open 45 minutes before tip-off and parking is free. Everything else you need is on our Plan Your Visit page, and you can meet the squad before Saturday.
The two sides meet again on Saturday 16 January at Coláiste Éanna. The full 2026-27 fixture list is here.
