The name over the door has changed. Limerick Sport Eagles is now Limerick Eagles, with a new crest, new colours and a new home right here at limerickeagles.com. Same club. Same people. Same city behind it.
The new look is built on Eagles Navy and Eagles Orange, with a shield crest that keeps the eagle front and centre. It sits alongside the Limerick Lions in one visual family: two crests, one club, and one pathway from a first bounce with the Lions to the top flight with the Eagles.
Everything that matters carries over. The UL Sport Arena is still home. The story, from Marathon BC in the 1990s through the UL Eagles years to the double-winning season just gone, still belongs to this club. The new badge matches where the Eagles are headed, not just where they have been.
And where they are headed is the Super League. Last season's Cup and League double put Limerick back among the best teams in the country. The 2026-27 campaign opens away to St Vincent's on Saturday 3 October, with big nights at the UL Sport Arena to follow. The full fixture list is here.
